Dr Christine Williams is a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists and is a fully registered medical practitioner working as a Consultant in Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry within the independent sector. She has over 23 years’ experience in psychiatry, mostly working with children and their families. She assesses and treats young people of school age and young adults living with their parents.
Dr Williams treats a wide range of emotional conditions seen in young people including depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders and attention deficit disorder, with or without hyperactivity. She also undertakes assessments of older children and adolescents for possible autism spectrum disorder difficulties using the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI). Having undertaken a comprehensive assessment of the young person’s needs she will agree a treatment plan with them and their family, including liaison with therapists, schools and other professionals as appropriate.
